Q: Who is CruiseDirect For Agents?

A: CruiseDirect For Agents is a division of International Voyager, the world's fastest growing cruise retailer. As part of International Voyager, we can offer agents access to state of the art technology, unparalleled back office support, greater purchasing power through our relationships with travel suppliers and thousands of held cabins on the most popular sailings. Q. Who can join CruiseDirect For Agents?

A: Our service is intended for travel professionals: independent travel agents and cruise-only agents who are serious about spending less time on non-revenue generating administrative issues. Agents who are ready to make more money and spend time doing what they do best, selling travel, will be able to make the most out of what our program has to offer.

Q. How much money will I make?

A: Agents will earn 10% of each cruise fare. You will determine how much you earn by setting your own goals.

Q. When are my commissions paid?

A: Individual commissions received for sailings in the calendar month will be paid to you on the 15th of the following month. You must complete and submit the commission request form no later than the 7th in order to be paid on the 15th.

Q. Is there an annual fee?

A: No. CruiseDirect For Agents does not charge an annual fee.

Q. What is the set-up cost?

A: None. Unlike many other programs, CruiseDirect For Agents does not charge a booking fee to your clients.

Q. Do I need to change my agency name?

A: No. You keep your own business identity when joining CruiseDirect For Agents.

Q. Which cruise lines can I sell?

A: Through CruiseDirect For Agents, Agents can book their customers into the world's leading cruise lines. CruiseDirect's preferred status with travel suppliers gives travel agents' access to special pricing and services.

Q. How do I make reservations for my customers?

A: Agents will use CruiseDirect For Agents' online booking system to make reservations and post full payment.

Q. Who will process and mail out tickets to customers?

A: The majority of the cruise lines now offer electronic documents. They are either emailed to you for your clients or are available for download on the cruise line website once the client has completed their online pre-registration. Hard tickets are mailed out from the cruise lines to CruiseDirect For Agents, where they are processed and sent by U.S. Priority Mail.

Q. What about customers' payments?

A: Payment is due in full on every reservation at time of booking. Your customers' payments go directly to the cruise lines. CruiseDirect For Agents does not hold customer payments.

Q. Will CruiseDirect For Agents capture client information and market directly to the end consumer?

A: CruiseDirect For Agents' marketing department will never gather marketing data that would be used to bypass the agent. This program is designed to support your agency business. You will maintain access to all data regarding your customers.

Q. What type of back office support does CruiseDirect For Agents provide?

A: With our state-of-the-art booking system, preferred status with travel suppliers, and expert product management team, travel agents can easily search from live cruise inventory or thousands of blocked cabins and book clients into the right cabin at the right price. Our program allows travel agents to focus on selling, while CruiseDirect For Agents manages ticket fulfillment, accounting, etc.

Q. Do I need to know one of the CRS/GDS languages (i.e. Sabre)?

A: No. GDS knowledge is not necessary to use our cutting edge booking system.
