Activities

From sunrise to sunset and around every corner, there's something exciting for you to do on a Royal Caribbean International cruise vacation. Onboard, try the rock-climbing wall, or work out with one of our fitness trainers. How about a swim or a relaxing massage? Better yet, try your luck at Caribbean Stud Poker, attend an art auction, or turn it out dancing in a nightclub. There are even supervised activities for kids. And on land, we offer Shore & Land Excursions for everything from glacier trekking in Alaska to swimming with dolphins in Bermuda. * The main pool area has been expanded to include two pools, four whirlpools and an interactive Splash Deck for kids. The Splash Deck features 64 water jets, 40 of which are connected to an interactive touch-pad system so kids can create fountain effects and spray each other to their hearts' content. At night, the Splash Deck transforms into a remarkable fountain with a fiber-optic light show.

Dining

Dining on our cruise ships is as exciting as every other aspect of life onboard. There are so many different dishes and enticing atmospheres to experience you won't know where to start: pasta at Portofino, classic burgers from Johnny Rockets, gourmet five-course meals in the main dining room… In addition, all of our cruise ships offer low-fat ShipShape Day Spa menus, kids' menus, and, if you arrange in advance, kosher menus. Specialty restaurants are not available on all ships. See below for more information.

Gratuities

Gratuities for Royal Caribbean are automatically charged to each passenger’s on-board account. These come out to about $15.50 per person per day for suite guests, and $9.75 for all other cabins. Additionally, a 15% gratuity is added to all bar purchases. Note: Gratuity Policies are subject to change. Updated June 21, 2010

Dress

On Royal Caribbean, there are three different forms of evening dress that a passenger will need. These include casual, “smart” casual, and formal. Usually two evenings will require formal wear (on a one-week cruise). Note: Dress Codes are subject to change. Updated June 21, 2010
