Life Onboard The Viking Peterhof
Viking Peterhof travels the waterways between Moscow and St. Petersburg, exploring part of the vast network of rivers, lakes and inland seas that was Russia's first natural highway. While cruising the Volga, Svir and Neva rivers you will be charmed by the country's overwhelming beauty. Ancient Russia comes to life in the famous Golden Ring cities of Yaroslavl and Uglich, with their historic kremlins and monasteries. Viking Peterhof, built to European standards and renovated in 2007, features two restaurants and two bars, three walk-around open air promenade decks, a sun deck, a sauna, a hairdresser, a doctor, and 105 comfortable outside staterooms each equipped with air conditioning.
On the Sun Deck you'll enjoy sunshine and fresh air while you take in 360-degree views of the scenery as you sail past cities, towns and landscapes of Russia. Stand at the railings or relax in a comfortable deck chair, cushions are available. Some of the seating has a canopy for those who prefer shade. The sun deck is adjacent to the Sky Bar and there is an access way to the bridge.
TheSky Bar is enclosed on the sun deck and it seats 80 passengers at small tables designed to accommodate 2, 4 or 6 guests. A fantastic location for relaxing with friends while enjoying the scenery through panoramic windows.
The Panorama Bar is enclosed at the forward end of the upper deck level it seats 50 passengers and is an excellent spot for watching the scenery, especially during arrival at one of your exciting destinations.
The Svir Restaurant is one of two restaurants aboard the ship. With seating for 70 passengers at small tables designed to accommodate 2, 4 or 6 guests, this is a smaller and more intimate setting than Neva Restaurant on the middle deck. The dining room is open seating, so you are free to sit where you like, a great way to make new friends. The atmosphere is casual but elegant, with high quality table linens, china, cutlery and glassware.
The middle deck features one of the ship's three walk around, open air Promenade Decks. You can watch the scenery from every possible vantage point or enjoy a romantic stroll around the ship any time of the day or evening.
The Library stocks approximately 80 books, in various languages but mostly English, and several games such as chess, backgammon and playing cards. Located at the foredeck, the library also offers excellent scenic views.
The Neva Restaurant is one of two restaurants aboard the ship. With seating for 154 passengers, this is a larger and more lively setting than Svir Restaurant on the upper deck. The dining room is open seating, so you are free to sit where you like a great way to make new friends. The atmosphere is casual but elegant, with high quality table linens, china, cutlery and glassware.
