Norfolk Cruises

Norfolk is Americana at its Finest

Norfolk, Virginia rests against the James River and the Atlantic Ocean. This city is home to several historical landmarks and attractions, such as Fort Norfolk, the Cannonball Trail; Civil War Trail; Moses Myers House; The MacArthur Memorial; Freemason District; Historic Ghent; Hermitage Foundation Museum; St. Paul’s Episcopal Church; and Norfolk History Museum at Willoughby Baylor House.

Of course, Norfolk wouldn’t be the same without the USS Wisconsin, which served starting in World War II and throughout the Persian Gulf War in the 1990s. Take the kids to explore the ship, as well as the Nauticus museum. You can even tour the still-operating Naval Station Norfolk, the oldest in the U.S.

If art and festivals are more your speed, Norfolk has plenty in store. From the concerts in Town Point Park to events and festivals such as the Bayou Boogaloo and Cajun Food Festival, there’s lots of culture here. Relax in the Norfolk Botanical Garden, peruse the Chrysler Museum of Art, and enjoy a harbor cruise on a 19th Century Mississippi riverboat.
