AmaWaterways Cancellation Policy

Cancellation notice must be provided to AmaWaterways in writing. The notice should clearly include each guest’s name, ship name, travel start and end dates, and a brief reason for cancellation.

Cancellation penalties are based on the date AmaWaterways receives the written cancellation notice. Changes such as a sailing-date change, name change, guest substitution, or reduction in stateroom occupancy are treated as cancellations and may be subject to the applicable penalties.

Cancellations received within 24 hours of the vacation start date are treated as trip interruption and are 100% non-refundable.

A reduction in stateroom occupancy may also result in a single supplement charge, and moving to a lower stateroom category within 90 days of departure may incur applicable cancellation fees.

Additional cancellation penalties may apply to special programs, charter arrangements, airfare, upgrades, transfers, or other pre-purchased services. Cruise Protection Plan and Travel Waiver Plus premiums are non-refundable once purchased.

*Airline cancellation charges can vary. Certain published or international airline tickets may be 100% non-refundable, and some intra-destination flights are non-refundable when purchased.
