This cancellation policy is specific to Uniworld River Cruises and is provided for your reference. The following terms apply to eligible U.S. bookings made from April 1, 2026, with a travel start date of April 1, 2026 or later. Please ensure that your cruise is covered by this policy. Cruise Direct is not responsible for any sudden changes to the policy.
Uniworld River Cruises Cancellation Policy
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. The cancellation becomes effective on the date Uniworld receives the written notice.
Cancellation fees are assessed per person and are in addition to any penalties imposed by airlines, travel advisors, or other third parties. There are no refunds for unused services or unused portions of a trip.

*The $2,500 Rivers of the World cancellation charge is not eligible for Deposit Protection Credit.
If one guest on a booking cancels and this changes the room from double to single occupancy, the remaining guest is responsible for any additional cost associated with the revised room type.
Air Cancellation Terms
If Uniworld air arrangements are cancelled within 24 hours of booking, all airfare amounts paid are refundable.
After the initial 24-hour period:
- 120 days or more before departure: the $450 per-person airfare deposit is non-refundable.
- 119 days or less before departure: the full airfare cost is non-refundable.
Airline penalties may apply in addition to Uniworld’s cancellation fees.
Deposit Protection
For eligible cancellations made 120 days or more before the program start date, Uniworld’s Deposit Protection Program may convert the applicable cancellation charge into a credit toward a future booking. The credit is valid for up to 2 years and does not apply to purchased air or Rivers of the World bookings.
