HX Expeditions Gratuities Policy

Gratuities are not expected onboard HX Expeditions, and tipping is entirely optional.

Guests who wish to recognize exceptional service may leave a cash tip:

  • At Reception
  • In the communal tipping box onboard

HX asks that cash gratuities be provided in Euros (EUR) or U.S. Dollars (USD).

Tips collected through Reception or the communal tipping box are shared evenly among eligible crew members.

Officers and members of the Expedition Team are excluded from the shared gratuity distribution.

Land Services

Gratuities for guides, drivers, or other services provided on land may follow different guidelines.

Any suggested gratuities for land services will be provided in your HX travel documents.
