Viking Expedition Cruises Gratuities Policy
Gratuities are generally not included in the standard Viking Expedition cruise fare, unless specifically included as part of a promotion or voyage offer.
Viking recommends a gratuity of $20 USD per guest, per night for onboard staff.
Guests may:
- Pre-purchase gratuities through My Viking Journey
- Allow the recommended gratuity amount to be added to their onboard account
- Visit Guest Services to adjust the gratuity amount or arrange payment in cash
Gratuities are shared among the onboard staff who support the guest experience, including dining, housekeeping, galley, laundry, and other team members.
Shore Excursion Guides and Drivers
Guests may also choose to tip local excursion guides and drivers.
Viking's suggested amounts are:
- Local guides: $3 USD per guest, per day, or equivalent local currency
