Entertainment - MSC Cruises

MSC's outstanding hospitality makes every day a pleasure on board. Each evening a detailed program for the following day will be delivered to your cabin. It contains full information on the activities and entertainment to be presented by the entertainment staff. Each night there are 2 shows available onboard - a Cirque du Soleil acrobatic act incorporated with live Italian opera. Numerous lounges and bars are onboard each ship - some have live music, some have activities being conducted by the animation team and some are just for relaxing.

Soak up some sultry jazz, unwind with a cocktail at sundown, or socialize with newly-made friends. Made for fun, glamorous times after dark or relaxing with an Italian coffee in authentic surroundings, the bars and lounges are tailor-made for your enjoyment. Spectacular international shows will take place in the theatre and professional musicians will entertain you in all the lounges of the ship. 

(By prior arrangement with the Cruise Director, some onboard musicians may be hired for private functions.) MSC onboard casino features the most popular attractions found in casinos all over the world, with games for players of all abilities. Try your luck at the slot machines or on the blackjack, roulette, and poker tables. Feel the rush of adrenalin as you wait to see if lady luck is on your side.

Baby Research Center

Medical Centre - every ship in the MSC Cruises fleet has a well-equipped modern Medical Centre on board. The Medical Centre is staffed by fully-qualified personnel, and benefits from 24/7 specialist pediatric telemedicine support. Over-the-counter medicines can be purchased on board.

24 hours Room Service - all our restaurants and 24-hour Cabin Service are ready and happy to help, ensuring you can feed your baby swiftly on demand, for their and your own comfort.

Baby Laundry Service - our unique new Baby Laundry service washes baby and toddler clothes separately from everything else, using a specialized machine, program and detergents to clean and sanitize even at temperatures as low as 30°C. We’ll collect your children’s items from your cabin and deliver them to you the following day clean, safe and sterilized: ideal for protecting their skin. You’ll find full details in your cabin, along with a biodegradable paper laundry bag and a service coupon to fill in.

MSC Baby Care Service* - we have thought about mums and dads too! You can drop your children off at the Mini Club, where they will be looked after by qualified and dedicated staff who will let them play.

Chicco  provides a dedicated play area with facilities for babies and toddlers under 3 years old. You can leave your toddlers with our MSC Babycare staff, or stay with them and enjoy the special Chicco toys and games. Teenagers aged from 15 to 17 years old can look forward to having the time of their lives on board. Teen Club activities range from sports and competitions, dance contests and social network games to Wii, Xbox and PS4 tournaments.

For the kind of adrenaline rush kids and teenagers love, we give them the chance to pilot a fast-flying drone with our Drone Academy through an obstacle course in a night-time race that will really test their skill!*

Developed in partnership with Fremantle, the company behind "The X Factor", the Dance Crew Competition gives teams of teenagers the chance to compete for the title of Dance Crew of the Year*

With our new YouTube web series Cabin 12006, created with Viacom, your children can follow teenager Markus on his first cruise as it turns into an unexpected adventure!**

WATERPARK

HIMALAYAN BRIDGE

Check out our Himalayan Bridge! Take the sky walk across a suspension bridge located at the aft of the vessel at a height of some 195 feet above sea level. A truly unique place to take your daily constitutional, with superb ocean views thrown in for good measure.

ZIPLINE

Thrill-seekers take note and sign up for a ride on two racing zip lines that extend over the side of the ship, a priceless experience you’re sure to remember forever. Also be sure to whizz down the single and double tubes of the ship’s 365-foot water slide, with lights and music to add to the fun.

DAMIEN HIRST, THE VIRTUES

MSC Grandiosa, from January 2022

MSC Cruises is honored to host on board MSC Grandiosa The Virtues of Damien Hirst, the latest paintings of a contemporary artist, one of the most famous of his generation.

The Virtues is a set of eight cherry blossom prints, each one titled after one of the Eight Virtues of Bushidō. The Soul of Japan according to Nitobe Inazō: Justice, Courage, Mercy, Politeness, Honesty, Honour, Loyalty and Control.

MSC VIRTUOSA, 2021 – 2023

For the first time ever, MSC is proud to host on board of MSC Virtuosa 11 unique Artworks of Pop Art artists Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, two of the most influential figures of the Pop Art movement of the 1960s. The exhibition also includes a captivating experience for guests with four videos presenting the work and life of the two artists.

EDGAR DEGAS, DANSE DESSINS

MSC GRANDIOSA, 2019-2021

From 2019 to 2021, for the first time on a cruise ship, the Art Wall of MSC Grandiosa hosted an exhibition dedicated to Edgar Degas, showcasing the Danse Dessins unique collection.

Degas’ work encapsulates the soul of a romantic Paris, truly fitting within the setting of the French Bistrot on board MSC Grandiosa. It also offered an immersive experience for guests with five videos running alongside the artwork detailing details of Degas’ work and life.
