Cunard Line Pregnancy Policy
Pregnant guests may travel with Cunard only if they have not entered the 24th week of pregnancy at any point during the voyage.
Cunard recommends that pregnant guests consult their doctor, midwife, obstetrician, or other healthcare professional before booking and before sailing.
Pregnant guests are required to have a doctor’s or midwife’s letter confirming that:
- The guest and baby are in good health
- The guest is fit to travel based on the planned itinerary
- The pregnancy is progressing normally and is not considered high-risk
- The estimated date of delivery is provided
Cunard may also request information including the estimated delivery date calculated from the last menstrual period and ultrasound results, where available.
Cunard ships are not equipped for childbirth or neonatal care. Guests who have entered their 24th week of pregnancy or beyond at embarkation, or who will do so during the voyage, will not be permitted to sail.
Cancellations Due to Pregnancy
Guests may be eligible to cancel without the standard cancellation charges if they were not aware of the pregnancy when the booking was made and will enter their 24th week of pregnancy or later during the voyage.
Cunard should be notified as soon as reasonably possible once the guest becomes aware that they will no longer be eligible to travel.
Guests who booked through a travel advisor should contact their advisor for assistance with the booking and required documentation.
Policies and medical requirements may vary and are subject to change without prior notice.
