Oceania Cruises Pregnancy Policy
Oceania Cruises does not permit guests to sail if they have entered or will enter their 24th week of pregnancy at the beginning of or at any time during the cruise or cruisetour.
Pregnant guests should therefore remain under 24 weeks pregnant for the entire voyage.
Medical Documentation
Oceania requires pregnant guests to provide a doctor’s letter confirming that:
- The guest and baby are in good health
- The guest is fit to travel considering the planned itinerary
- The pregnancy is not high-risk
- The estimated due date is provided
- The due date is calculated using the last menstrual period and ultrasound, if an ultrasound has been performed
Oceania states that it cannot carry a pregnant guest who does not comply with this requirement.
Medical Care Onboard
Oceania advises that its ships do not have adequate medical facilities for childbirth or specialized prenatal or postnatal care.
Guests should also be aware that some itineraries visit destinations where specialist medical care or emergency evacuation may be delayed or unavailable.
Oceania recommends that guests who are less than 12 weeks pregnant seek medical advice before traveling.
