Cunard Line Children's Age Requirements
Minimum Age for Travel
Guests must generally be at least 6 months old at the time of travel.
For Full World Voyages, Transatlantic Crossings, and certain longer or more remote itineraries, the minimum age is 12 months.
Children ages 6 months to 23 months are classified as infants, while guests ages 2–17 are classified as children.
Guests age 18 or older are considered adults. There is no maximum age limit for travel with Cunard.
Stateroom Requirements
Any guest under age 18 must be accompanied on the voyage by an adult age 18 or older.
- Children ages 12 and under must be booked in a stateroom with a guest age 18 or older and should not be left alone in the stateroom.
- Children ages 13–17 may be booked in a stateroom with a guest age 16 or older, subject to Cunard's accompanying-adult requirements.
Onboard Restrictions
Theater:
Children under age 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during production shows.
Casino:
Casino entry is restricted to guests over age 18. The minimum age is 21 while the ship is in U.S. waters.
Swimming Pools:
Children must be toilet trained to use swimming pools. Swim diapers and pull-up diapers are not permitted.
Children under age 16 must be supervised by a parent or guardian because Cunard's pools are unsupervised.
Some ships also have designated adult-only pools.
Whirlpools:
Children age 7 and under may not use whirlpools. Children ages 8–16 must be supervised by a parent or guardian.
Gym:
Guests age 16 or older may use the gym when accompanied by an adult. Guests age 18 or older may use the gym without supervision.
Guests under age 18 should not use the weights section.
Spa, Sauna and Steam Facilities:
Guests must be age 18 or older to access Cunard's spa facilities and treatments.
Nightclubs:
Children under age 16 are not permitted in venues operating as adult nightclubs. Additional ship-specific restrictions and evening curfews may apply.
