Youth Program Registration

All children and teens must be registered before participating in Carnival’s youth programs.

Online youth registration becomes available as part of online check-in 14 days before sailing.

Guests who do not register before sailing may complete registration onboard with the Youth Staff.

Registration is available for children and teens ages 6 months to 17 years.

Age Group Policy

Carnival generally groups children according to their age at the time of sailing to provide age-appropriate programming.

Children may not normally move into a different age group solely to remain with siblings or other family members.

Carnival reserves the right to adjust programming, capacity, or age-group arrangements based on the ship, sailing, and operational needs.

Youth Staff

Carnival Youth Staff are trained to supervise children and teens participating in onboard youth programs. Staff members have relevant education or professional childcare experience and receive appropriate safety and first-aid training.

Port Days

Youth-program availability while the ship is in port varies by age group and sailing.

Parents or guardians who leave children in the care of Youth Staff while going ashore should follow onboard procedures and provide any requested tour or contact information so they can be reached in an emergency.

Leaving the Ship in Port

Guests under 16 must generally be accompanied by an adult age 18 or older from the same travel group when leaving the ship in port.

Guests ages 16 and 17 may generally go ashore without a parent or guardian unless the parent or guardian requests additional restrictions through onboard Security.

Programs, hours, capacity, activities, and availability may vary by ship and sailing and are subject to change without prior notice.
