Silver Ray, the second Nova Class ship from luxury cruise line Silversea, is due to launch in summer 2024. With a space-to-guest ratio of 75 GRT per passenger, the highest in the fleet, and a 1:1.3 crew-to-guest ratio, Silver Ray will offer an all-balcony cabin experience with butler service. The vessel's "horizontal" design is a first for Silversea, with all staterooms located across four decks, ranging from 357 to 1,324 square feet. Silver Ray showcases eco-friendly features such as emission-free technology, fuel cells, and batteries, as well as a micro auto gasification system and a hydrodynamic hull design to reduce fuel consumption. Eight dining outlets offer everything from destination-inspired menus to fine dining, while the public areas feature the popular Dusk Bar and the Arts Cafe. The ship's maiden voyage will be a 10-night itinerary from Athens (Piraeus) to Venice in July 2024, with calls in Mediterranean ports such as Santorini, Corfu, Kotor, Bari, Dubrovnik, Split, Hvar, Zadar and Trieste. Silver Ray will then reposition to Fort Lauderdale for the spring 2025 season, sailing 8- to 19-night cruises out of Florida, Lima (Callao), Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro.
