Named for “Mamsen,” the Hagen family matriarch, this venue offers Norwegian specialties including waffles according to Mamsen’s original recipe, open-faced sandwiches, and split pea soup.
The elegant dining venue, The Restaurant offers the ultimate onboard dining experience. Regional cuisine and always-available classics are served surrounded by sweeping exterior views.

Onboard Activities
Located next to the Explorer’s Lounge Upper Level, the Library is specially curated by London bookshop Heywood Hill and Cambridge University (Scott Polar Research Institute) to enrich and enhance your Expedition experience. Feel free to browse and borrow any of the selections, and return them at the end of your cruise.
Landing craft will be easily accessible for the guests. Embarkation onto the expedition ships will take place either from this midship area and/or The Hangar depending on the type of craft and weather conditions.
Expedition Central is a key onboard area for guests at which they can plan and book their excursions, verify landing and “go to gate” times or get answers to questions about upcoming excursions and landings.
Located on Deck 1, Guest Services is always open and can assist you with any questions.
Located to maximize views through the floor-to-ceiling windows, with a library that informs even the best-read explorers. The ideal setting for relaxation and conversation.
Guests can embark on RIBs shielded from wind and waves from a flat, stable surface inside the ship and glide into the water to depart on their excursion. They re-enter The Hangar after excursions via the slipway to the protected marina before disembarking their RIBs.
The 380-square-foot wet and dry lab, developed in partnership with the University of Cambridge and Akvaplan-Niva, allows scientists to conduct meaningful research and encourages guest interaction.
The Aula is a stunning panoramic auditorium inspired by the University of Oslo’s famed ceremonial hall, the former venue for the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony. Used for lectures, daily briefings, and films, this unique space features a 4K laser-projected panoramic screen that can retract to expose floor-to-ceiling windows and 270° views.
A compact but well-equipped fitness studio hosting daily yoga, TRX, and wellness classes in an intimate setting — the perfect complement to the main fitness center for guests who prefer guided group workouts at sea.
