Avalon Waterways has added the 128-passenger Avalon Artistry II to their river cruise ship fleet for 2013. This Suite Ship has 52 suites, with all cabins outside, at least 200 sq ft each. Itineraries focus on the Rhine River, with sailings from Zurich to Amsterdam and Basel, Germany. Passengers get amenities such as flat-screen TVs, mini-bars, safes, hair dryers, and beds that can be configured as two twins or one queen. Royal Suite occupants can use complimentary in-suite iPads. The Artistry II has four decks, including a sky deck with a sunning and whirlpool area, as well as multiple lounges, an open-seating dining room, an Internet corner, and a fitness center. Smoking is prohibited inside, and there's an elevator for convenience. Avalon Waterways offers English-speaking travelers aged 55+ a memorable experience with meals, accommodations, sightseeing, onboard lectures, piano entertainment, and wine with dinner included in the fare.
