As the capital and largest city in Chile, Santiago really does have it all. Stunning mountain views of the surrounding Andes. Modern metropolis amenities. Classic architecture and interesting history. It's well worth the trip from the Pacific coast, to say the least – and about 40% of the nation's population calls Santiago home, so it's a great way to get a sense of Chilean life.

Don’t miss the parks and skyline views from Santa Lucia Hill, or it’s incredible Neptune Terrace fountain and statues. Of course, there's a wide variety of dining, entertainment, shopping, and nightlife in Santiago.
